AboutBrandon
Background
Brandon Sutton is the PGA Director of Instruction at Olympic Hills Golf Club in Eden Prairie, Minnesota offering year-round instruction using some of the best technology in the golf industry to help golfers achieve their goals.
Brandon began his golf career at Arizona State University where he received a degree in the Professional Golf Management program. He became a Class A PGA Member in 2010.
He spent the early years of his career bouncing around the country teaching and learning at a variety of different facilities and working with some of the game's best instructors.
Brandon made his way back to his home state, Minnesota, in 2013 where he began teaching at Baker National Golf Course and transitioned to Olympic Hills Golf Club in 2018.
"Nothing is more gratifying than helping passionate golfers take their games to the next level. Whether it is a junior with a dream, a driven golf "sicko" who is hoping to become a single digit handicap one day, or a high level amateur or professional tournament player. There is nothing better than helping golfers realize their potential." - Brandon Sutton.
Teaching Approach
"I look at golfers as individuals. No two bodies are the same so no two golf swings should be either. What matters is the ball flight. How can you hit the ball in the shape and direction you want to? How can you strike it solidly more consistently? I don't need your golf swing to look like Ben Hogan's, I need you to hit solid shots in the direction you intend as often as possible."
Brandon offers a very layered teaching process and organizes your improvement plan based on the step you are on.
-
Why is the BALL flying the way it is?
-
What is the CLUB doing to make the BALL fly the way it is?
-
What are YOU doing to make the CLUB do what it is doing to make the BALL fly the way it is?
-
WHY are you doing what YOU are doing to make the CLUB do what it is doing to make the BALL fly the way it is? (say that 10 times fast)
Improving your golf game requires you to work on the right things at the right time. Brandon specializes on helping golfers understand what to work on and provides specific ways to practice to get the most out of their time.
